You can learn a lot from the Los Angeles Dodger’s even if you don’t like baseball. The team is poised to partner with Time Warner Cable to launch their own regional sports network.

Well, what the Dodger’s are doing is controlling their own destiny by controlling the  airwaves. Dodger’s games are currently aired on News Corp’s Fox Sports, but that deal is ending and opening a whole new era marketing possibilities for the team.

The deal with Time Warner Cable will include nearly a $100 million in additional revenue for the Dodger’s each year, and Time Warner will get to charge $3.95 per month per subscriber for the right to watch the Dodger’s.
